Biography: Daniel Gile
Daniel Gile is a former mathematician, scientific and technical translator, conference interpreter. He holds a PhD in translator and interpreter training in the Japanese-French combination (1984), and a PhD in conference interpreting (1989). He currently freelances as an AIIC conference interpreter and Professor of Translation at the Université Lyon 2, France. His research interests are translator training, training of young researchers, and cognitive processes in conference interpreting.
