Biography: Ana Cravo
Ana Cravo was involved in translator education for eleven years. She has a degree in Languages and Literatures (English and German) by the University of Lisbon and a Masters of Education in Supervision by the University of Nottingham. She is presently working on a PhD on Quality Control in Interlingual Subtitling under the supervision of Prof. Ian Mason and Dr. Yvonne McLaren at Heriot-Watt University.
Biography: Josélia Neves
Josélia Neves has a degree in Languages and Literatures and a Masters in English Studies with a dissertation on the film adaptation of Henry James' works. In the past 12 years she has been involved in Translator Education and Training at Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão de Leiria, in Portugal, where she has developed a number of projects in the field of audiovisual translation, with a focus on accessibility to the media. She has recently completed her PhD on Subtitling for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing to Roehampton University, under the supervision of Prof. Jorge Díaz Cintas.
