Biography: Dr. Annick De Houwer
Dr. Annick De Houwer is a psycholinguist and sociolinguist with a research specialisation in early bilingual acquisition. She is Research Professor of Communication at the University of Antwerp in Belgium, where she heads the Research Group Language, Media and Socialization. She also holds the title of Collaborative Investigator to the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (U.S.A.).
Biography: Aline Remael
Aline Remael is Reader at the Department of Translation and Interpreting of University College Antwerp. Her main research interest is in audiovisual translation. She is the co-author of "Audiovisual Translation: Subtitling" with Jorge Díaz Cintas (2007, Manchester: St Jerome) and chief editor of her department's TS journal Linguistica Antverpiensia NS.
Biography: Prof. dr. Reinhild Vandekerckhove
Prof. dr. Reinhild Vandekerckhove is Lecturer in Sociolinguistics and Dutch linguistics at the University of Antwerp. Her research focuses on language variation and change in the Dutch language area. She published articles on dialect change and on (sub)standardisation processes in Flanders.
