Blanca Arias Badia is a predoctoral researcher, member of the InfoLex research group of the University Institute for Applied Linguistics (IULA) at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She holds a MA in Comparative Literature and Literary Translation and a BA in Translation and Interpreting. She is currently developing a thesis on audiovisual translation, teaching Spanish and Translation in the Department of Translation at UPF, and working as a literary translator.
Jenny Brumme is a professor of translation and applied linguistics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She leads a research project on the translation of fictional dialogues in literary and multimodal texts (FFI2010-16783). She has presented publications on: neology and lexicology; language policy and standardisation; historical linguistics and historiography of linguistics; language for special purposes and specialised communication; and contrastive linguistics and translation.
