Lucía Ruiz Rosendo holds a PhD in Translation and Interpretation from the University of Granada (Spain) with a specialisation in Conference Interpreting. She also has a certificate as a sworn French interpreter, issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain. Her main line of research is specialised interpretation in the medical field. Since 2004 she has worked as a senior lecturer and researcher at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide teaching Consecutive and Simultaneous Interpreting, both at graduate and postgraduate level. She convenes the Master in Intercultural Communication, Translation and Interpreting at this institution and also works as an interpreter from English and French into Spanish in the private market.
Desa Conniff graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and minors in Spanish and International Studies. She worked for a few years as a legal assistant before moving to Seville, Spain, to work as an English language assistant in two bilingual high schools, while completing her Master's degree in International Communication, Translation, and Interpretation at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide. She is currently working for the King County District Court in Redmond, WA, USA.
